howdy.

its been a long time since i have posted up on here. i thought that i would let you all know of a few changes!!

i have a small temporary websight up and running as of last year some time and you can find it here:

i also have a new bespoke websight in the pipe line as we speak. its going to be the real deal with a proper prints ordering system and pay pall links for secure transactions. I will also be focusing on photography and photographic prints, however prints of my artwork will be available also. i will still be available for makeup work and for family and wedding photography and portraits.

Also on the websight there will be a running sketchbook of doodles and sketches and you will be able to download a copy of my new book, complete with artwork.

this will all be coming about in a few months. work is still in the early stages and life is hectic as always!

Ok . Thought I would.... should...post something. Since the last piece of work up here was from the end of uni!

I have been floundering. Yes that’s right. I feel like a manatee. I cant explain it, but i feel like it looks. This is, in part to those horrors that we call "life decisions." do i focus on getting a stable job, permanent contract as a HCA and training up as a nurse? Do i go into Make-up art, or general art (which seems more appealing), Do i try and do this OU degree and try to go into art therapy...even though there are not many jobs in that field? Ho hum.

After much deliberation and manatee like feelings I have decided to do it all...at once..

So. True to form.

i have been working on a set of ideas for some paintings. i will post them tomorrow. Need to work out how to sell them. So any ideas and advice would be welcome there.

The book is back on the, um, books, so to speek. ‘Clarence’ is being edited and is already making a bit more sense. I may do some art for it. Feeling uninspired on that front at the mo, so props in the future.

We are making cider at the moment. I’m in the process of making some labels for the bottles, not happy yet but it turned out as a good mockup... here… this is Gordon enjoying the fruits of his labor

I need to get a website up and running. I don’t want to pay for a space so any free stuff anybody knows of would be great. Also need to make some promo banners at some stage!

Photography is lacking. Since using Bonnie’s new Nikon (and being incredibly jealous) all my photos look shiiiiiiit! hahaha i know its an excuse. if i was actually good with it....workmen and their tools!

So. Lots to be getting on with. I should have done all of this, months ago. I feel quite a shamed with myself. Better get cracking!!! Photos of things to follow tomorrow ☺

right then! huge sketch upload. ill give you a runthrough of whats here and you can work out what's what whilst your having a peak through. so...i have a series of portraits of war vererians from rememberence day. im workin on them for my Visual studies but they have taken over a bit too much at the moment. i have a portrait of robot without the computer shading ect. i have an unidenterfied male looking rather dejected. i drew him when i was trying to think of prosthetics ideas and coming up with nothing.... ummm... i have a hand design for some flatplate molds. something weard with plushies (in the shape of guts) in the background. two or three prosthetic's designs that i have been told "you cant do anything like that. the college doesnt have the facilitys, do something symple" i always wondered why everybody ended up doing body painting.....now. i. know >.< i think laying on hair is the way foward hmmmmmmph...

oh and Mr Clarence Oleary has made himself known in there too. :)

ahhh home! had an amazing day today. talked to some wonderful people who have been a huge influence on me: so i feel like im beaming, they were all so lovely. i ummed and arred about going to say hello but im so glad i did. i learned a huge amount from everybody i talked to. sooo excited about ZBrush! i have to get this!!! its pretty cheep for the software as well :O

saw some really lovely work today. its defiantly spurred me on to get creative. the student competition work was amazing. it made me annoyed about college not having the facility's to let us do something like this but me and Emily have talked our tutors round to let us put on a fundraiser to get a foam oven! hopefully setting this up in the next few weeks so stay posted!

got some prosthetics lined up for the next 3 weeks so that will be up here. some fun incest disfigurement and some flatplate molds for hands. also im about to start the prelim drawings for the fmp so i will keep you updated on here with the sketches. visual studies is coming to an end! been keeping the 'veteran' set off the blog so i can present them as a body of work on here....you got a taster with Ben Small but the others are a different, lighter style. im so annoyed that my arm was too bad for me to make the final old man head sculpture. the other two are ok but a tad small.

also planning to use illustrator more....im a stickler for photoshop but i think im probably missing out :/ also saving up to get a new tablet. preferably a good one! gearing up for resurch mode for that then!

more work on its way soon. lots more prosthetics. its about time i put some up!!!

ALSO! got my frist sketch of clarence done.....finaly made him look how i imagened. need to do some more. but im going to use him for a (hopefully) 3d rendition, which (hopefully) will teach me some much needed skills :)

more from the "promotional" set got some good ones of my bro. cant realy use more than two of him though and i havent got a clue which ones to put in :/ got sooo much lined up at the moment. few big on going projects. imats in london, aladin at the bruhouse, presentations and dissitations galore and so on and so forth. having a drawing night tonight. guna get some concept sketches of kelcy down. its getting on though and i keep putting it off. gah.....come back creativity!!!!

first things first: body painting, didnt get the grade i wanted but i wa happy with the colouring and painting skills. if only i had a few hours more!!then i was at queens college doing the makeup for a post appociliptic verson of mcbeth. i only had one makeup to do because it was pritty extencive. but it turned out really well. got some great photos from it...and she gave me chocolate at the end ....nom nom nom

and now im doing test photoshoping for a "promotional makeup" portfolio in feb. here are a few of the end results.....currently starting a portrait of Gg the cat. and then one of rowan. then gunna go vack my flat. (and start this prosthetics journal i keep putting off) bye fornow

first off ,here's a lovely lill portrait i cooked up of bon and alex, the source photo is on facebook (im not sure who to credit for it) hope they like it ^^

these are my first attempts of body painting, they are the first in many practices i need to do for a body painting project where i have to advertise the planetarium in Bristol. im going to base my work on star constellations and nebula formations, unsure what to do for hair yet, should be a fun one :D

well first off i do need to update this more often for my 5 readers!

the fist two photos are of my brother as Adam ant, this is a wig project and its not his real hair! i think i did OK, the wig wasn't meant for the models head and i had quite a few problems getting it to fit correctly....actually this project was nothing but problems. i will be surprised if i get a good mark for this one. the end image wasn't too bad but there you go :/

the next lot are the other end of year final photos, these ones are for a historical hair project 1835-1844. i like the end photos from this one.

sorry i haven't posted anything for a while, been focusing on other things and completely forgot to update this. so first up is a 1950's hair and makeup
the week after we did 60's hair and makeup and here are a few images from that...

after all this exams have started back up, hears what i think is the best photo from the prosthetic project, brief was to create fantasy animal prosthetic and makeup, this is Jim Henson inspired work, i'm pritty proud of how it turned out, hopefully you will like it too!
